Fix guide: iphone 6 plus Home button can't be turned on
If your iPhone 6 plus home button is not working or has become unresponsive, we have some possible fixes to share with you. We have come across that some users do seem to have persistent issues with the home button on iPhone 6 plus. Vipprog engineers are bringing you a full set of repair guides to solve iphone 6 plus home button not working.
FIX PROCESSING:
1. After teardown iPhone, remove motherboard and supply power to motherboard with DC power. It has no response after using tweezers to touch the power on pin. Use multimeter to measure the power on pin. It presents 1.8v voltage. Measure the diode data of each power supply pin, we find PP1V8_SDRAM, PP1V2 and P1V2_SDRAM are short circuit. According to circuit diagram, find the components that use these voltages and then remove them one by one to exclude short circuit. When remove power chip, we find the diode data of PP1V2 becomes normal.
2. We can continue to exclude other short circuits. When cut the power supply of U5411_RF (in below picture), we find the diode data of PP1V8_SDRAM voltage becomes normal.
3. When we after removing CPU (in below picture), we find the diode data of PP1V2_SDRAM becomes normal. But PP1V2_SDRAM supply power to CPU and temporary storage,so we can not be sure which one is damaged and only solve the problem by exclusion method.
4. We find the removed CPU has revealed its pinholes. So we can paint Uv Welding Fluxes Oil and mount BGA Reballing on those holes.
5. Lastly, after welding CPU, the motherboard can be turned on, so we know temporary storage cause the problem. Replace a new temporary storage and iPhone runs smoothly after power on. Trouble is removed.
