How to Fix iphone 6 Camera and Flashlight Can't Work

Nearly every iphone owner who uses their device as a camera will come across the problem of iphone camera can't work. If you like selfie, it will affect your mood. Now this article will tell you how to solve the problem.

ISSUE:

IPhone 6 camera can shoot videos but cannot take photos and the flash light cannot be opened.

SOLUTION:

1. Checking the circuit diagram of flashlight control chip U1602, we find that the power supply of U1602 is from pin D1, A2 and B2 (picture 1-1). Pin D1, A2 and B2 connect inductor L1605. Energizing iPhone and turn it on to measure the voltage of L1605 and it is normal. The material object of L1605 is shown in picture 1-2.

2. Then we measure the voltage of pin D2, E2 and I2C bus of light control chip. We find that the I2C bus of flashlight control chip is connected to CPU (picture 1-3) through bitmap and then to main camera socket J2321 through inductor FL2331 and FL2329 (picture 1-4).

3. Measure I2C bus voltage and the voltages of the two pins of FL2331 are 0V. FL2331 is AP_TO_RCAM_12C_SCL data cable that is pulled on by resistor R0704, as shown in picture 1-5. The material object of R0704 is shown in picture 1-6.

4. Measure pin 1 voltage that is 1.8V. Deenergize iPhone and measure the pin 2 of R0704 is about 400. R0704’s resistance is normal too. With the normal diode data, pull-on power supply and resistance, we presume that some chips connected with signal AP_TO_RCAM_12C_SCL lower the voltage.

5. Measure pin 1 voltage that is 1.8V. Deenergize iPhone and measure the pin 2 of R0704 is about 400. R0704’s resistance is normal too. With the normal diode data, pull-on power supply and resistance, we presume that some chips connected with signal AP_TO_RCAM_12C_SCL lower the voltage.

6. Signal AP_TO_RCAM_12C_SCL connects flashlight control chip and CPU. Accoding to the faults, we replace the flashlight control chip. Then we enegize iPhone and measure the voltage of FL2331 which is normal 1.8V. Assemble motherboard to assembly and turn on iPhone. Get into IOS and test. The camera can take photos now, as shown in picture 1-7.
