Repair iPhone SE won’t turn on
It can be a frightening experience when you try to turn on your iPhone and nothing happens. Your iPhone SE will not turn on and you’re looking for help. It’s a problem that can be easy or difficult to fix, depending on the cause. In this article, I will help you to fix your iPhone when it isn’t turning on.
I met the same situation, a customer sent us an iPhone SE ,the fault is described that the phone won’t turn on, it also has leakage when supplying power. We are going to repair it.
Opening the iPhone SE and remove motherboard to have a test, the battery interface is the same as iPhone 6P, if there is no professional 6P DC power supply interface, it can also be an ordinary alligator clip, as shown in picture.
The battery positive voltage VBATT is first sent to the charging IC-U2300, and the charging IC-U2300 outputs the main power supply VCC_MAIN (same as the battery positive voltage value) to the main power supply U2000 and other related circuits.
The situation is divided into the following points:
1. The current is larger when the power is supplied, usually due to the battery's positive voltage or short circuit of the main power supply. Using the rosin method, large current can be found quickly. How to operate: first, the digital multimeter is used to measure the grounding resistance of the battery positive electrode and main power source, and find out the short circuit part. Using rosin will iPhone SE motherboard in white, increase the voltage in short circuit part, must pay attention to the voltage must be added to the short circuit, voltage increase gradually from scratch, in short circuit part of the power supply after a period of time, it will heat and turn it into a different color, then you can find the specific components immediately.
2. The iPhone SE does not respond after startup, first to measure whether the main power supply of U2300 exists. If not, you need to replace the U2300. If the main power supply is normal, then the problem comes from the power IC or CPU.
3. The current is small and the iPhone is not available. Measure the voltage of the components as shown in the WUXINJI schematic , as shown in picture
If yes, you need to replace the clock crystal Y0600 and check and solder the resistance of some bus circuits. these resistance must be replaced instead of short connection, if the above problems are excluded, it should be the iPhone SE CPU problem, you can install a new CPU to solve.
