Repir Guide: IPhone 6S Retains Signal After Removing SIM Card

Last week, the customer sent us an iPhone 6S. His iPhone 6s read the card after booting and retained the signal after removing the SIM card. He needs us to repair it.



Based on our past repair experience.This situation can be divided into three kinds of faults:
1. Abnormal card holder;
2. Card detection pin problem;
3. The baseband signal part problem.
Let's confirm the fault first.

Install the iPhone to test, we found that as the customer said, there is still a signal even if the SIM card was pulled out. According to previous maintenance experience, first we use FLUKE digital multimeter to check the resistance of each pin of the card base, especially the resistance of the card detection pin (that is, the card switch).

After measuring, it is found that the card detection pin has no resistance value. At the other end of the R3401, the resistance can be measured, and the fault is determined in the card detection pin, which is broken.

Solution: you can use jumper wire to connect directly to the card detection pin without removing the card holder.



Connect R3401 to the eighth pin of J3001.

Reinstall to test, the fault is fixed well now!

How to repair iPhone 8 stuck on Apple logo

We got an iPhone 8 from a customer and his iPhone 8 card was on the White Apple and could not be opened. What caused it? How to fix this fault? Open the iPhone and the Apple logo displays normally. However, the phone card is on the Apple logo and cannot be fully activated. Connect your phone to your computer and recover from iTunes. Then insert the SIM card and activate your phone. The Home Button gets unresponsive with returning function and the phone fails to activate completely. Disassemble the phone with iPhone opening tool kit(VC862) and disconnect the battery. Then remove the display assembly. Use digital multimeter to measure the power supply voltage of Home Button. The measured voltage value is 3.3V, 1.8V and 2.75V.
